ARMCA member Joey DeRoe, Sales Manager for Razorback Concrete Company, received the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association Promoter of the Year Award at their 2007 Annual Convention in La Jolla, California on March 19, 2007. He was selected from a number of outstanding industry promoters.
Joey's enthusiasm is contagious as he travels the state of Arkansas promoting quality concrete through ARMCA's ACI Flatwork Finisher Certification program. Certified as a Flatwork Finisher, he serves as both instructor and examiner. His participation and active promotion for the concrete industry has resulted in increased sales of concrete along with respect for his expertise. Joey DeRoe has made numerous promotional presentations to specifiers, developers, contractors, and concrete industry personnel. He also arranged demonstrations at numerous Arkansas locations for local contractors and builders.
“Effective promotion is aided by strong national support but absolutely requires energetic pursuit at the local level for success,” said Glenn Ochsenreiter, senior vice-president for marketing and promotion at NRMCA. “Joey DeRoe has demonstrated what can be accomplished through assertive local promotion and as such is a very worthy recipient of the Promoter of the Year award.”
NRMCA, based in Silver Spring, Maryland, represents the producers of ready mixed concrete and the companies that provide materials, equipment, and support to the industry.
